Great addition to my bar. I have a square cube maker and now this one and I can make 6 balls and 4 cubes in 24 hours in my garage freezer.The only gripe I have with this product (which I knew when I purchased it) is that the spheres are a little too small. Where my cubes are just big enough to catch the side walls of my old fashioned glasses, these balls feel like they leave a lot of space in my glass which makes me want to pour more bourbon into my glass.Room temp bourbon vs this small sphere, means the ice melts too quickly and dilutes in the drink too fast.My solution. Continue to use squares for stirred cocktails like old fashioned’s and use these for hard shaken cocktails that come out really cold.The item itself is really easy to use. I use RO water and the spheres come out crystal clear.Pro tip bc I’ve seen reviews on other products and maybe this one that say that the spheres crack. Well if this is your first foray into clear ice making. Know that you should allow your ice ball to melt for about 5 minutes in your cocktail glass before you pour your drink over it. That or make sure your drink is as cold as the ball so that thermal shock doesn’t happen.The second tip is to make sure all the ice is out of it every time you use it. There are some that like to leave the frozen block in the bottom of the water tray. Do not do this. The solid particles in the water have no where to go if water beneath it is already frozen solid.So make sure to empty out ice on the bottom every time.I’d definitely buy it again. And if they make one that makes a bigger ball, I’m buying it !

If you want 100% clear Ice get this system but two instead of one unit!
I have about 7 different systems that state they make 100% clear ice and they don’t deliver! This little miracle worker does exactly what it claims to do, see thru ice! I didn’t use boiled water like the kit instructs. I used filtered cold water from the fridge. I pushed down the tray into the water, I did clean the excess water off the holes at the top. I left it alone in the fridge when I went to work and the next day after a 16 hour shift I placed the unit on my kitchen table. I heard some noise from the frame and figured the ice had cracked like in some of my other systems. I pulled out the ice and I was so amazed they were all perfectly round. I thought it was another fake unit because the spheres were white when I opened them. I left them on the counter a couple of minutes and the white ice covering came off and revealed the most beautiful, 100 percent clear ice spheres! I absolutely love this system. I didn’t bother with the metal marbles because I’m not putting those in my drinks. The plastic bag to hold the spheres in after they’re ready is very thick and sturdy. I am so ecstatic and so in love with this system I can’t even begin to convey my happiness with my purchase! It’s super easy to use and super easy to remove the rubber mold and the tray from the cooler part. Your kids will get a kick out of them I am so sure. This system makes 6 pretty large clear ice spheres that will bring your bourbon or drink making skills to another level. I give this system 5 Stars or for you 90’s kids, A Zorro Snap in a Z formation!
