Pretty good for the price.
works well reads temp quickly. pretty large although display is nice and big for easy reading. Good with the bad. Overall a pretty good item.

Edit to add: after using this for a few weeks, I’ll say it’s the best thermometer I’ve ever had. Very fast, and the magnets let me leave it stuck on the side of my refrigerator which is very convenient. I got it on sale for $27 which is a great value.Initial review:Much larger than I expected… my other thermometers are comparatively tiny. In the first photo, next to a ruler and a US Quarter for scale, in the second, in my hand, and as I’m 6’5” my hands are pretty big.Despite the overall size the stainless steel probe is a bit shorter than it could be, but not a dealbreaker.SPEEDI bought this as my other thermometers were too slow (4-5 seconds). This one reads very fast, however this Amazon page claims 0.5 seconds, and the instructions with the thermometer actually say 1 second.In practice it seems that the read speed is “less than 1½ seconds”.Measuring room temp (ambient) to hot tap water (110 degrees) time is about 1.1 seconds. From ice water to hot tap water about 1.3 seconds.However, it is within a degree in less than a second, and that’s blazing fast for all practical purposes in the kitchen.I’ll add additional timings in the future, but in practice this is plenty fast for kitchen purposes, which is what I’m using this for—when cooking 4 to 6 chicken breasts I want to get their internal temps as quickly as possible. My old thermometers were worthless in this regard.BUILD QUALITYCame in a quality box with alkaline battery and a small screwdriver which is needed for the battery cover.Overall build quality is good with a lot of rubberized parts. It has a hole for hanging or a lanyard, and magnets that let you store it on the side of a fridge.The readout is a bright red LED type, which is great unless you have the protanopia type of colorblindness, in which case you may have reduced brightness for these LEDs. I haven’t measured the wavelength, so can’t say how much a protanopia or achromatopsia CVD vision may have issues here.I got this on sale/coupon for $27, which was an astounding good deal. The features and quality put this on par with the $100 Thermopen.

Great thermometer for all things food
I’ve been using an old meat thermometer for about 10 years now. I was starting to get concerned about accuracy, plus it was a little slow with giving me my temperature reading. I decided to look into upgrading to a new meat thermometer that I could trust, and would be quicker giving me the temperature of my food. When I came across this thermometer, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! It gives readings accurately and immediately. I especially like the rotating screen feature. It makes it easy to read the temperature, no matter how I am holding the thermometer. I also love the design of the thermometer overall. It feels very comfortable in your hand and is easy to use. Excellent food thermometer. I highly recommend.

Very Good Kitchen Tool
This product is very fast, easy to use and accurate. The reasons I don’t think it’s a five star product are that it’s a little bulky and replacing the battery is a finicky job requiring a screwdriver. They do supply a miniature screwdriver.

Small, compact and extremely accurate
Brought this handy meat thermometer. It is definitely asked advertised you to get a reading about a half a second. One of the greatest functions I like about this is that the screen actually flips depended on how you open it. Has a long battery life and I’ve been using it ever since. I have other meat thermologist but this one is much better and much more accurate.
