Fits the bill for outdoor dining
All my dishes were heavy. These are lightweight, well made and color matched the image presented. Looks pretty on the table and your wrist does not break when you haul plate/food outside. We use these for inside as well. Says top shelf use in dishwasher but I put them on the bottom with no problem. Really good value for price paid.

Rough grainy finish on some of the pieces
Several of the pieces have a rough grainy finish almost like sand. Amazon has issued me a refund. I was very disappointed in this as they look so pretty in the pictures.

1st matching set
All my life I’ve had a mish-mash collection of dishes gathered from friends, family, or thrift stores. My first complete set of my own arrived today. These are beautiful! When I first opened the box I was dismayed as I thought it they sent the wrong product – they looked like heavy ceramic dishware😲! I’m going to love using these durable dishes. It’s a perfect size set for single me and an occasional friend.

I love the fact they’re colorful and lightweight. Also they don’t come with coffee cups lol no one uses them anymore!! If I had one thing I could change is I would make them microwave safe. Otherwise I love them and I knew that fact when I bought them

This Dinnerwear Set is stunning in person and has gorgeous colours, a unique pattern and a really neat texture. They are made from Melamine but they look just like ceramic and you honestly can’t tell until you touch them or pick them up. They are shatterproof, chip resistant, scratch-proof and very lightweight so they are great for camping, a cottage or an RV. We use them on our patio so we can enjoy meals outside and not worry about our regular dishes breaking or becoming damaged.The melamine material is BPA-free but just make sure not to place them in the microwave or they will melt. I was a little disappointed with this at first but it is still not a deal breaker for me. I like that they are dishwasher safe (on both the top and bottom rack) for an easier clean up.This 12 piece set comes with 4 large plates, 4 small plates and 4 bowls. I like how big the large plates are but I do wish the bowls were a little deeper (mostly for cereal). I also wish they came with cups but we ended up finding some navy ones that match really well.Overall, this is a gorgeous, well made and sturdy set that is a great alternative to heavy and breakable ceramic. I highly recommend them, especially for outdoors, a cottage or for use in an RV.

The colours on these plates and bowls is gorgeous. Every time we use them outside in our backyard, we enjoy the colour of the plates as much as we enjoy the food inside of them. They are thicker than melamine plates we have previously used and are hard and hard-to-scratch. They have been dropped quite a few times without breaking whereas similar ceramic plates would have certainly broken.These would also be great for travelling in an RV or for taking on a picnic where they are expected to bump into each other. They have a hard plastic feel and aren’t nearly as brittle as ceramic.One downside is that they are not safe for use in the microwave. This is unfortunate since the microwave is such a convenient way to heat up leftovers. The solution would be to heat up the food in a separate bowl and then to transfer it to the melamine plate or bowl. The bowls are also rather shallow and more appropriate for a small serving of salad than a full bowl of soup.Overall, we really like this set because they have the strengths of melamine without necessarily looking like plastic. Without touching and inspecting it, each plate looks like ceramic or glass from far. I can definitely recommend this set.

… but still different from the regular patterns.No damaged pieces in 3 boxes so would say good quality. Won’t use dishwasher or use knives to cut on plates so they last. Nice and lightweight, which is what we were hoping for.

This dinnerware set is made of thick melamine – each item weighs similar to the equivalent Corelle (vitrelle glass) item in our Livingware set.The manufacturer recommends dishwashing on the upper rack only – we have been using both racks and haven’t had an issue. We also have a ton of melamine plates (used only for large outdoor gatherings) that we’ve been dishwashing lower rack for years without any issues.We really like the colours and the durable melamine for use outdoors, and use this exclusively on our patio. With that said, the dishes are of a quality that some would find acceptable for day-to-day indoor use, provided you are able to avoid putting it into the microwave.Overall, this is worth considering if you are looking for a high quality outdoor dinnerware set, or if you are looking for something colourful for daily use.
