Perfect for 6 x 8 Flat Packs in Midea 3.5 cu ft chest freezer
I’ve switched from using 8 x 10 chamber vac bags for my frozen fruit purees and other flat-packable freezer items to the 6 x 8 ones, and these freezer organizer bins are perfect for those. I can put two of the flat packs side by side flat, or I can “file” two rows of them upright and the bags (because the flaps on the 8-inch ends can fold over) don’t impede sitting the next bin on top. The 8 x 10 flat packs I started with don’t fit quite as efficiently; only one will iie flat on the bottom, but I can “file” them in the top bin because there is ample room above the bin edge for the freezer to close.The three pack is exactly right for the Midea 3.5 cubic foot chest freezer that I bought for my bedroom. The only thing that could be better is if the height of Midea’s plastic hanging basket were a little shorter so it could hang over these bins when I move it aside to get to whatever is sitting on the compressor shelf. But I wouldn’t want that adjustment made to these bins because they are perfect just the way they are.You do have to assemble these by screwing in 12 screws (total, four for each bin), and the nuts are longish. I opted to assemble mine with the nuts pointing outward instead of inside the bins as shown in the instructions because I didn’t want them to stick into the space for the flat packs. There is absolutely no problem doing it this way because there is room on either side for the nuts to jut out some.Now I just need to find something that fits the compressor shelf area so I can initially flash-freeze sealed packs of liquid before filing them in these bins. I was hoping the small Harvest Right freeze dryer trays would be just right (as the inserts shown in my photo are), but they are just a little bit too long to fit in the space.

Exactly What I Needed
There is virtually nothing out there that fits a tiny freezer. I tried with another product and was very disappointed. These are perfect for a 3.5 cu. in. freezer, assemble in a few minutes (anyone complaining about the assembly is a sorry soul indeed) and leave enough headroom when fully stacked to allow for an extra bag of frozen dog food. I couldn’t be more pleased. Packaging was excellent, everything was wrapped well, and there were no signs of any damage. They stack just as you would expect and the depth allows for organization in my freezer into meats, poultry and seafood. Perfect.

Some assembly required, stackable, better for a larger freezer
I have a small to medium size chest freezer in my garage. I got these to help organize. The chest freezer itself has some baskets that sit on the top and hang down into the freezer. With that in mind these are a little too big for a small freezer. I would recommend getting these if you have a larger freezer.Assembly: This requires some assembly. They come as flattened, connected baskets where you align the walls and screw them together. Very easy to do. They include the tools needed to install. You can do the beginning part by hand but I’d recommend tool tightening the nuts.Once assembled you have 3 baskets, these are stackable when you put the handles in a specific position. They are big, and so I could only fit 1 in my freezer. However that is fine, I can use the other 2 for organizing elsewhere. They do the job.I am only removing 1 star for a pet peeve, which is that the screw/nut connection for assembly sticks out a lot so kinda gets in the way of certain sized packages. That is annoying and a flatter assembly option would be better IMO.

A pain to put together!
So these are great for deep freezer that have setje flat shelves not for anything else. They don’t hold a lot which I’m not quite sure what I would expect. If you don’t buy in bulk this might work. However we are a large family and buy bulk every week. They are sturdy, difficult and a pain to put together. The difficulty of putting these together made me not like them as much. They do organize smaller items and are ok for the price point. When you have to build them yourself, I don’t expect to pay the same amount as ones I don’t. I just found that these took up more space in my freezer than helped.
